College education — and formal education generally — is not a scam. The educational system is rigid but its value remains untainted. In my opinion, a college education is underrated which I — and a select few — rather consider an insult.

Elon Musk (needs no introduction) openly said that “college is basically for fun and not for learning.” Although a college degree is not an “evidence of exceptional ability,” as he puts it, a lot of learning occurs in college. Learnings that you won’t find anywhere else but in college.

I spent a significant proportion of my late adolescent and early adult years in a college of health. Although I’m finding my kick as a writer and entrepreneur, I can’t deny the fact that college taught me some invaluable lessons.

Most entrepreneurs that have been to college knows within their honest selves that college played significant roles in their success. Although these roles are not very obvious (perhaps why some of them spit on the name of college), they are very useful in shaping anybody’s life in the long run. Let me share some.
