Sweetheart,

We all (men mostly) are at a stage of our lives where everything is moving so fast. Many of us are finding the closest escape from depression. We are constantly fazed by images of our High School mates and college colleagues making more progress than we are. Perhaps those signs of progress are only apparent, but they get to us nonetheless. We are scared of the future — we just can’t help it. We are worried about the present. We are worried about the people we love.

We appreciate that you assure us that money and material acquisitions don’t matter to you. However, we believe that sooner or later, they would cause severe problems that may result in a dreaded loss — you.

So many things are happening all at once. It doesn’t take long for us to forget people, events, places, and everything. Our brains are so sunken into our fears and worries that our bodies become automated tools poised at averting a grotesque future.

Most times, we forget ourselves. We forget to eat. We forget to pray. We forget to live the precious moments. We wander into the future with so many perfect images in our minds. By the time we return to the moment, we…
